Quiet Writers is a project for self-published & indie authors. Our aim is to help get more awareness and eyes on indie authors and their work.
We publish collections of poetry and short stories by indie/self-published authors in June and December. Each edition includes an "About the author" section, and all contributors are listed on our Contributors page.
We also post book reviews, author interviews, and rec lists on our blog.
To help encourage folks to reach more indie & self-pub books, we've set up a reading challenge. You can join in on Storygraph.

Between the Pages by Shawn Amick
Between the Pages is a podcast run by indie author Shawn Amick as a way of bringing authors together and creating a welcoming community of both indie and traditionally published authors.
Shawn hosts interviews with authors on live events on TikTok, and helps promote indie books.

Indie Author Connect is working to link authors with other resources, bringing together authors, editors, illustrators, narrators, readers, and typesetters.
Indie Author Map
We set up an indie author map to help folks find more indie authors, and to make it easier to achieve the "Local author" prompt in the reading challenge.

The Indie Book Directory is a site where you can search for indie books, or add your own in for readers to find.

A database of books written by trans and non-binary authors featuring trans or non-binary characters.
